BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Myanma Paper and Chemical Industries (MPCI) is one of the six state-owned Myanma Industries under the Ministry of Industry (1), engaged in the production of various kinds of paper and inorganic chemicals.
It was previously named as Paper and Chemical Industries Corporation. In 1989, the name of the corporation was changed to Myanma Paper and Chemical Industries to be in line with New Market Oriented System, adopted in the country in late 1988.
ORGANIZATION
Managing Director is the head of the organization holding all the responsibilities. The Board of Management has the supreme authority and executes the policies laid down by the Ministry.
The following are the main business departments each under its own General Manager.

• Raw Material Planning Department
• Production Department
• Marketing Department
• Finance Department
• Administration Department
Under MPCI, there are altogether 11 factories at present. Those factories and mills consists of Pulp and Paper Mills, Paint Factory, Match Factory, Gases Factories, Chemical Factory and Battery Plant.
