| MIDC demonstrates bio diesel-fueled ovens |

NAY PYI TAW, 9 July -Myanma Industrial Development Committee held a demonstration of bio diesel-fuelled ovens at the Ministry of Industry-1 here today. First, Chairman of MIDC Minister for Industry-1 U Aung Thaung delivered an address.
Minister U Aung Thaung said the use of bio diesel-fueled ovens will help reduce the consumption of firewood and oil. Bio-diesel extracted from physic nut seeds can be used to fuel the environmental-friendly ovens produced by MIDC.
In a bid to prevent deforestation and climate change, bio diesel-fueled ovens are invented in accordance with the guidance of the Head of State, the minister added. Winthuza shops will provide servicing for the ovens, he said.
Minister for Science and Technology U Thaung, Minister for Industry-2 Maj-Gen Saw Lwin and Minister for Energy Brig Gen Lun Thi also briefed on use of bio-diesel-fuelled ovens.
Those present on the occasion also discussed producing use of the ovens.
Afterwards, ministers and officials viewed ovens and accessories produced by Ministry of Industry-1 and Ministry of Industry-2, foodstuff, consumer products and textile produced by Ministry of Industry-1.
Also present at the demonstration were ministers, deputy ministers, Vice-Mayor of Yangon City Development Committee, departmental officials, chairmen of supervisory committees for industrial zones, representatives of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industries and Myanmar Industrial Association and business men.
