- Ministry of industry-1 honoured
outstanding athletes of employees of
the ministry at the meeting hall of
the ministry here on 19 August.
Ministry for Industry-1 U Aung
Thaung extended greetings on the
occasion. Dr Sein Myint and wife Daw
Myat Thanda and family of Supreme
Enterprise Ltd donated water
purifiers and related items worth K
24 million to the ministry through
the minister. The departmental heads
handed over the sports championship
shields clinched by the ministry in
the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 fiscal
years to the minister. Afterwards,
the minister awarded Aung Gyi, an
outstanding athlete who won 17 gold
medals, 7 silver medals and 3 bronze
medals, and Tin Tun, an outstanding
disabled athlete who won 4 gold
medals and 2 silver medals. Next,
the minister's wife, the managing
directors and thei r wives awarded
other outstanding athletes, the
managers and coaches of sports teams
