-Myitmakha Panlaung Bridge in Myittha Township was inaugurated on 21 September in the presence of Secretariat Member of Union Solidarity and Development Association Minister for Industry-1 U Aung Thaung.
The reinforced concrete bridge is 125 ft long and it can withstand 35 tons of load. It was constricted at the cost of over K 51.6 million. The bridge will benefit the residents in 15 villages in Myittha Township and four villages in Wundwin Township.
Chairman of Kyaukse District Peace and Development Council U Soe Win, donor U San Win and Secretary of Myittha Township USDA U Aung Kyi formally opened the bridge and Minister U Aung Thaung unveiled the stone inscription of the bridge.
After the opening ceremony, the minister met with local people from 19 villages in Myinttha Township and gave instructions on regional development.
Afterwards, he visited Myittha Textile Factory project and urged responsible personnel to complete the project timely.
He also visited Wundwin Textile Factory in Wundwin and Pyawbwe Textile Factory project in Pyawbwe Township.
During the tour of Pyawbwe, the minister inspected 277 acres of cotton plantation in Pyawbwe and called for extended cultivation of cotton.
