Nay Pyi Taw, 30March - The Special market festival of the Ministry of Industry-1 was held at Shan State Sports Ground in Taunggyi on 19 March.  Chairman of Shan State Peace and Development Council Commander of Eastern Command Maj-Gen Thaung Aye unveiled the archway of the special market festival.  The commander and party visited the salesrooms.  As a gesture of honouring the 63rd Anniversary Armed Forces Day, a ceremony to open Swedaw tarred road constructed by Taunggyi District Development Affairs Committee was held in Ward 3 of Ayethaya. Executive Officer of District DAC U Aung Myint reported on the construction of the road.
            Chairman of Ward 3 PDC U Than Myint spoke words of thanks. Director of Shan State DACU Tin Cho and the Executive Officer of District DAC presented commemorative pennants to the commander and officials.  The Secretary of Shan State PDC and officials opened the repaved road, and the commander and officials inspected the road.The repaved road measuring 960 feet by 12feet was constructed spending K 6.76 million. The commander also attended the opening of Hsele-Phetpon rural gravel road in Hsele Village in Taunggyi. Taunggyi Township DAC spent K 21.7 million on construction of the gravel road sretching one mile and four furlongs. MNA
